Atlético Madrid is in excellent form and proved it once again! Diego Simeone’s team defeated Levante 2-0 on the road, extended their winning streak in La Liga to seven games, and temporarily climbed to first place in the standings.
The “Roji-Blancos” continue their impressive run in the Spanish league, and with the three points from Matchday 11, they’ve moved to within one point of Barcelona. The Catalans, of course, have one fewer game played and can reclaim first place.

Atlético had its first big chance in the 16th minute, when they managed to put the ball in the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Their dominance paid off in the 36th minute, when Alejandro Grimaldo gave the visitors the lead.
The Madrid side maintained control in the second half as well, scoring a second goal in the 62nd minute. Giuliano Simeone capitalized on Baena’s assist to make it 2-0, sealing yet another victory for Simeone’s team.
