AEK S.A. filed a statement this morning expressing its support for the charges against the individuals being prosecuted in the case of match-fixing through bribery and the acceptance of bribes, as well as against any other responsible parties. This specific case involves, among other things, AEK’s games against Promitheas, according to reports that have come to light.
With this action, the Association expressly reserves the right to seek compensation for any moral and material damages it may have suffered as a result of these practices. At the same time, it filed a detailed brief in which it thoroughly presents its positions and the evidence it considers relevant to the investigation of the case.
Furthermore, it resubmitted for review the complaint it had originally filed in 2022, requesting that the competent authorities conduct a further investigation. AEK BC thus seeks to ensure a thorough examination of all aspects of the case and the assignment of responsibility where appropriate.
