William Saliba has returned to training with Arsenal as he nears his return to competitive action.
The French center back has not played since July, when he was forced to leave the field with a back injury in the 30th minute of the World Cup semifinal, in which France lost to Spain, the eventual World Cup champion.
The 25-year-old did not undergo surgery but followed a conservative treatment regimen, which, after several months, appears to have paid off.
Arsenal signed Ezri Konsa, as Saliba was expected to be sidelined for an extended period, and the English international has helped the “Gunners” stay atop the Premier League standings.
