Almería, the Spanish soccer club in which Cristiano Ronaldo is a shareholder, announced that it will provide financial assistance to the family of Jesús de Miguel, the Tenerife forward who tragically lost his life after a violent collision with an opponent during a match against Andorra.
In a statement, the Spanish second-division team announced that it will donate all proceeds from ticket sales for the match against Tenerife —which will take place in April 2027—to the family of the late player.
Ronaldo’s team also extended an invitation to the family of the late forward to attend the match, provided “circumstances permit.”
“We know that nothing can erase the pain of losing a loved one. Nevertheless, we believe there are more important values that unite the soccer family,” Almería added in its official statement.
