ALPHANEWSLIVE

Police authorities in Denmark, the Czech Republic, and Portugal are investigating new threats against aircraft on Friday, November 6, one day after bomb threats disrupted dozens of flights across European countries.

Police in Denmark announced today, November 6, that they are investigating bomb threats targeting air traffic at Copenhagen Airport, adding that so far it appears there was no danger to passengers.

“Today we are once again at Copenhagen Airport in connection with threats made against air traffic. We are currently investigating the incident and have a visible presence at the airport,” a police statement said.

Meanwhile, in the Czech Republic, police announced that there have again been bomb threats against aircraft taking off and landing at Prague Airport.

A Wizzair flight from Prague to Rome was diverted to Venice Airport, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.

As the police told X, all necessary security measures were implemented with minimal impact on airport operations, while investigations are ongoing.

False Bomb Threat on a Ryanair Flight from Lisbon to Rome
A Ryanair flight scheduled to depart from Lisbon for Rome this morning was the target of a bomb threat, which turned out to be a false alarm, according to Portuguese police.

More than 20 false bomb threats have already disrupted air traffic in Europe since the beginning of the week, forcing authorities to divert some flights or scramble fighter jets to escort commercial aircraft.

Alarm in Irish Media Following Threatening Messages
Meanwhile, in Ireland, employees at several media outlets were evacuated from their facilities following threatening emails. Among the organizations that were evacuated were the public broadcaster RTÉ in Dublin, the Irish Independent newspaper, the radio stations Newstalk and Today FM, and the television station Virgin Media. Police forces, including armed officers, were deployed at RTÉ’s headquarters.

These developments follow a wave of hoax threats targeting nearly 30 passenger flights across Europe, causing emergency landings and the deployment of fighter jets. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the threats.
