Gaza: Five dead from Israeli strikes and gunfire, including a 12-year-old boy

Reports of casualties in the palestinian enclave continue
ALPHANEWSLIVE

Five people were killed yesterday in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli gunfire and airstrikes, according to a report from rescue services in the war-torn Palestinian enclave.

The Hamas-controlled Civil Defense agency reported the death of a 12-year-old boy from “fire from Israeli forces” near the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip.

A few kilometers away, near Al-Zawida, two other people were killed in separate strikes.

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed the attacks at that location to Agence France-Presse (AFP), claiming they targeted “Hamas terrorists.”

In the Khan Yunis area, a woman was killed by Israeli military fire, according to the Palestinian enclave’s Civil Defense Agency, which also reported that “one person was killed and several others were wounded by an Israeli drone strike west of Gaza City.”

Israel and Hamas are accusing each other of violating the ceasefire that went into effect on October 10, 2025, following two years of war —which was triggered by Hamas’s unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

More than 1,600 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, whose figures are considered reliable by the UN.

During the same period, the Israeli armed forces have reported eight casualties: seven soldiers and one Defense Ministry contractor.
