Dimitris Giannakopoulos was sanctioned by the ESAKE sports judge with a ban from entering the arena for the next 10 months. Panathinaikos will appeal this decision to the ASEAD.
The reason for this penalty was a new complaint filed by Olympiacos BC regarding a recent social media post by the majority owner of the “green” Panathinaikos BC.

The sports judge ruled that this was reprehensible and thus imposed the penalty, along with a 60,000 fine for Dimitris Giannakopoulos and a 30,000 fine for Panathinaikos BC due to strict liability.
