Agathoklis Agathokleous, 51, unmarried, from Limassol, is the victim of the latest traffic accident that occurred earlier today in the Pyrgos area.

According to the police, at around 11:50 a.m. today, the 51-year-old was driving his vehicle on Agia Marina Street in Pyrgos, Limassol, when, under circumstances that are under investigation, he veered slightly to the left and collided with a wooden ATIK utility pole, where his vehicle came to a stop.

The unfortunate driver was injured in the collision and was transported to a private hospital in Limassol, where, despite the efforts of the medical staff, he passed away shortly before 2:00 p.m.

Members of the Limassol Traffic Police and the Moni Police Station arrived at the scene, where they conducted the necessary investigations and documented the scene. Based on the investigation so far, it has been determined that the 51-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt.

It should be noted that, at this stage of the investigation, the possibility that the 55-year-old’s death was due to natural causes cannot be ruled out.

The legally required autopsy on the body will be performed at a later date to determine the exact cause of death.

The Limassol Traffic Police, in cooperation with the Moni Police Station, are continuing their investigation.
