A harsh accusation was made on Alpha TV by the mother regarding the school administration’s handling of the matter. As she alleges, when she went to the school that morning, the principal didn’t even attempt to speak with her.
“I demand that the Ministry come on the air right now and tell me by Friday where I’m supposed to take her to school? Am I supposed to put her in the same class as the four who hit her, and under the same principal—that woman I’ve repeatedly informed, yet no action has been taken?”

The Ministry of Education requested a report on the incident from the school administration, stating that it would show zero tolerance. As clarified, the girl will return to school in the presence of a psychologist and a school inspector.
“We are awaiting the details. I do not want there to be any misunderstanding that we are letting this slide.”
Dora Konstantinou – First Education Officer
The incident sparked a reaction from political parties, with DISY, AKEL, and ELAM raising questions about the effectiveness of mechanisms to prevent school violence and calling for measures to protect students.
