Police in Paphos are investigating the theft of two motorcycles, involving two 15-year-olds who allegedly stole the vehicles from the Karavella area and then rode them to an elementary school in Anavargos.
According to the police, the incident came to light yesterday, Wednesday, November 4, around 7:30 a.m., when a member of the Paphos Traffic Police, who was on duty at an elementary school in Anavargos, spotted two motorcycles parked in the schoolyard.
The two motorcycles had no license plates and showed signs of various types of damage, which aroused the police officer’s suspicion.
An on-site investigation followed, and the inquiry revealed the involvement of two 15-year-olds. The minors had entered the school grounds as visitors and were not students at that particular elementary school.
During the initial investigation, the two 15-year-olds reportedly stated that they had purchased the motorcycles from another person. However, according to the police report, they later admitted during questioning that they themselves had stolen the two motorcycles the previous night from the Karavella area in Paphos.
The case is being investigated by the police, who are continuing their inquiries.
