Possible Patriot purchase by Ukraine: The State Department has given the green light

The State Department announced tonight that it has approved the potential sale of PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement missiles to Ukraine, with an estimated value of $2.1 billion.

   Lockheed Martin will be the prime contractor, the U.S. State Department said.
