David Moyes marked his 592nd game as Everton’s coach, tying Harry Catterick’s all-time record, and Tierno Bari made sure to give him a pleasant evening against Coventry.
Even though Lampard’s team took the lead, and even though the “Sky Blues” rightly complained about a penalty in favor of Yerenki after Tarkowski pulled his hair inside the box, the “Candy Boys” found a way to secure their second consecutive victory following their 1-0 win over Newcastle.
The visitors at Hill Dickinson Stadium managed to take the lead in the 52nd minute with a curling shot inside the box by Gboho, but Tierno Bari stepped up.
He scored with a header in the 56th minute, added a very lucky goal from the air in the 61st minute, and set up Dewsbury Hall in the 81st minute for the final 3-1 goal, which found the back of the net in the far corner.
With this result, the Merseyside “Blues” temporarily moved into fifth place, while Coventry remained in 16th place, two points above the relegation zone…
