The winning streak continues and shows no signs of stopping! For yet another match, Paris put on a thrilling performance, and despite a few challenges in the first half of the derby, they defeated Lyon 2-0, in the match that wrapped up Matchday 8 of Ligue 1!
Paris’s victory was dedicated to the club’s great unlucky player, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, as the Georgian suffered a torn ACL in the midweek Champions League match against Barcelona!

After a first half in which Lyon put up a strong fight and applied significant pressure on Luis Enrique’s team, the final stretch of the derby turned into a one-sided affair. Paris stepped up the intensity, and in the 72nd minute, following a magical play by Honz, Mayulu sent the ball into the net with a superb curling shot to make it 1-0.
The European champions sealed the victory in the 84th minute when N'Jadé found Hoedt behind the defense; the Dutchman, finding himself outside the box, scored with a magnificent chip to make it 2-0.
