Police arrested three individuals yesterday to facilitate the investigation into a case involving the burglary of three residences and theft, which took place in the Limassol district.
The case was reported to the police on July 3, 2026, by a 67-year-old man, who reported that five air conditioners and compressors, as well as solar water heaters, were stolen from a complex of three unoccupied homes he owns. As the complainant reported, he spotted a parked vehicle near the housing complex, inside which were air conditioner units, and saw an unknown individual fleeing on foot.
As part of the investigation into the case, evidence was gathered against three individuals aged 23, 21, and 18. Arrest warrants were issued against them, pursuant to which they were arrested yesterday and taken into custody to facilitate the investigation. The Pissouri Police Station is continuing its investigation.
In another case in Paphos, two individuals, aged 17 and 18, were arrested yesterday by police officers for the flagrant offense of illegal possession of property. Two motorcycles, which did not have license plates, were found in their possession.
The two suspects were spotted around 8 p.m. yesterday on a road in Paphos, riding motorcycles without license plates. They were stopped by police officers for a routine check, and when questioned about the two motorcycles, they failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding their origin. Consequently, they were arrested for the flagrant offense of unlawful possession of property.
