Neymar is seriously considering retiring from soccer.

Brazilian media outlets claim that the country’s soccer superstar has become disillusioned with the Seleção’s elimination as well as the trajectory of his career, making itquite likely that he might leave the… sport.

Reports suggest he is considering three possibilities.

First, a possible return to Santos, though this depends on the team’s intentions. The second is to continue playing for a team—and possibly in a league—where the… immense demands aren’t as high, with MLS appearing to be a fairly likely destination. Finally, as they also mention, the most likely scenario is that he will retire from soccer.

Regarding the latter, they add that the fact he has suffered many injuries and is dealing with other issues in general plays a major role.
