Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called U.S. President Donald Trump twice on Thursday and urged him to orderorder U.S. airstrikes in Yemen against the Ansar Allah rebel movement —also known by the surname of its leaders’ family, the Houthis—the news website Axios reported yesterday, citing its sources in the U.S. government.
Mr. Trump rejected the request, according to these sources, who further clarified that Washington has no intention of intervening militarily against the Houthis at this time, according to the report.
