A 30-year-old man was placed in four-day custody pursuant to a court order issued today by the Larnaca District Court, at the request of the police, a 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody for the purpose of investigating a drug trafficking case.
The 30-year-old was arrested yesterday by members of the Organized Crime Investigation Unit (DAOE – YKAN Larnaca), pursuant to a court warrant issued following testimony that emerged during the investigation of the case.

The case involves the possession of a quantity of cannabis, with a total weight of 934 grams, which was located and seized by police officers, during a YKAN operation on August 19, 2026, in the Larnaca district. During the police operation, three men aged 32, 31, and 23 were arrested, and a sum of 13,350 euros, fireworks, and other evidence.
On August 28, 2026, the case was filed and referred for trial by the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court, with the 32-year-old, 31-year-old, and 23-year-old as defendants.
The Larnaca Drug Enforcement Agency (DAOE) – YKAN continues its investigation.
