Israeli President Isaac Herzog arrived at the Presidential Palace around 11:30 a.m., to meet with President of the Republic Nicos Christodoulides as part of his official visit to Nicosia.
President Christodoulides greeted the Israeli President with a warm welcome, telling him that “you are no stranger to us,” highlighting the close ties the Herzog family has with Cyprus.
As he announced, the meeting’s agenda will include discussions on issues such as tourism, energy, and defense, and there will be an exchange of views on regional developments and cooperation with neighboring and other countries, with the aim of maintaining peace and stability.

In his response, Mr. Herzog said he grew up visiting Cyprus frequently and revealed that his dream is to hold a meeting on the island between himself, President Christodoulides, and their counterparts from Lebanon and Egypt, where various issues would be brought to the table for discussion.
The Israeli President noted that he is bringing a message of friendship from Israel to Cyprus, along with gratitude and appreciation for the “unique cooperation” between the two countries.
