Aris put up a fight in the big game of the 6th round of the Eurocup, losing 84-73, but ultimately suffered its first defeat in this year’s Eurocup. Vassilis Spanoulis’s team was right there with Hapoel Jerusalem, but failed to leave Belgrade with a win, as the Israelis pulled away to a significant lead on their way to securing first place in the group.
Kenny Lofton was the standout player for the winners, with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals, aided by Sheik Milton (19 points) and Lorenzo Brown (11 points). For Aris, Adam Mokoka with 13 points and I.J. Liddell (12 pts, 8 reb) stood out, but it wasn’t enough for their team.
