Ergin Ataman commented on the current situation in Greek basketball to Giorgos Spanoudakis, who relayed the Turkish coach’s remarks on ANT1’s “Good Morning Greece” program.
“Hello, I’m in Athens and I’m watching all these developments with shock, but I’m sorry, it would not be right for me to express an opinion on a matter that is currently before the courts,” he said initially, adding:

“Panathinaikos is a very great club and will take whatever actions are necessary regarding this matter. I’d like to send my love and best wishes to all Panathinaikos fans and to the true friends of sports,” while adding about Dimitris Giannakopoulos:
“I love Dimitris and his passion for Panathinaikos and Greek sports,” Ataman concluded.
