Jean Montero is now officially a former Valencia player!
The 23-year-old guard, as announced by the “Bats,” has left the Spanish club after his buyout was paid, and is now preparing for the next chapter of his career.
This, of course, will be with Olympiacos, as the “Red-and-Whites” reached an agreement several weeks ago with one of Europe’s top guards. This further strengthens their backcourt with a charismatic scorer.
Now, all that remains is for the Piraeus club to announce his signing, which is expected soon.
The “Bats” announcement: “Dominican guard Jan Montero has left Valencia after the full amount of the buyout clause included in his contract was paid, thus bringing his time with our team to a close after two seasons during which he helped the team win the Liga Endesa and Supercopa Endesa titles.
The team would like to thank Jan for his professionalism, his dedication, and his hard work throughout his time as a player for Valencia Basket and wishes him all the best for the future, both professionally and personally,” the Spanish club’s statement reads, among other things.
