Anita Dimitriou will do what the Democratic Alarm’s bylaws require, as she states, noting that it is her obligation and adding that it is Averof Neophytou’s right to take whatever position he wishes.
Arriving at the Democratic Alarm leadership meeting, the party’s president, Anita Dimitriou, was asked by the program “Alpha News” and journalist Iakovos Iakovou if everything was going well, she answered in the affirmative, stating: “Thank God, everything is fine; we’re moving forward, and we need patience.”
When asked to comment on the announcement of Averof Neophytou’s candidacy, she noted that the Democratic Alarm’s statement says it all.
“It is his right to take whatever position he wishes; it is our right—and our obligation—to follow our bylaws and procedures.”
“As party president and guardian of the party bylaws, that is what I will do,” he concluded.
