The OMONOIA Foundation has selected Fabiano as its first Ambassador for the 2026–2027 season!
The international goalkeeper was introduced at an event in Larnaca, with the Brazilian taking on a role aimed at promoting the values of solidarity and social contribution, with a special focus on children and young people.

As part of the event, the OMONOIA Foundation also made a donation of 24,000 euros to the charity “Iliaktida Zois” to create a specially designed multisensory room (Snoezelen).
The Foundation’s president, Stavros Papastavrou, explained the reasons for choosing Fabiano, while the soccer player himself expressed his joy and honor at taking on his new role.
In detail: “At a beautiful event held at the Rebuke Lounge in Larnaca, the OMONOIA Foundation introduced OMONOIA’s international goalkeeper, Fabiano, as its first Ambassador. Fabiano will serve as the OMONOIA Foundation’s Ambassador for the 2026–2027 season.
On behalf of the OMONOIA Foundation, Board Member Theodoros Krigou explained the role of the Ambassador: “Our idea is simple: there are people who, through their attitude and example, can inspire others to take action. People whom children and young people listen to and trust. People who can reinforce the message of solidarity and encourage more people to get involved. “We want our Ambassador to serve as yet another link between the Foundation and society.”
Regarding the selection of Fabiano as the OMONOIA Foundation’s first Ambassador, Mr. Krigou noted: “In selecting our first Ambassador, we placed particular emphasis on the character, integrity, and values that this individual embodies: respect for others, humility, consistency, and a sincere willingness to give. We want our Ambassador to represent the principles we believe in and to encourage people —and especially children—to keep trying, to believe in their abilities, and to care for those around them.”
Stavros Papastavrou, President of the OMONOIA Foundation, commented on the Ambassador program: “Thank you all for your support of the OMONOIA Foundation. We were considering what the criteria should be for the OMONOIA Foundation Ambassador. We wanted a person who is respected in Cypriot society. Someone with a big heart. Someone who would fully represent the Foundation. We decided that Fabiano met all the criteria and was an easy choice for us. He is an exceptional person with a big heart. He does so much for people he doesn’t even know—both in front of and behind the cameras. We look forward to working with you in this new role.”
For his part, Fabiano expressed deep emotion at being chosen as an Ambassador for the OMONOIA Foundation and, among other things, noted: “It is with great joy that I accepted the role of Ambassador for the OMONOIA Foundation. It is a great honor for me and my family. I hope that through my involvement, I can support the work and mission of the OMONOIA Foundation and, of course, contribute to Cypriot society.”
Donation of €24,000 to ILIAHTIDA ZOIS
As part of the event, a donation of €24,000 was presented to the charitable foundation, “Iliachtida Zois,” to create a specially designed multisensory room, known as a Snoezelen room. The check was presented on behalf of the OMONOIA Foundation by its President, Stavros Papastavrou, and its Ambassador, Fabiano, to Ms. Anna Savva, a founding member and 30-year member of the Board of Directors of “Rays of Life.”
