On Wednesday, the Minister of Transportation, Communications, and Public Works, Evi Tsolaki, on Wednesday.

As she told CNA when asked to comment on whether there have been any developments on the matter, she said, “There have been developments; we said there is a solution, and we are moving forward.”

In response to a remark that local authorities have expressed concerns about whether the projects will be implemented properly and on schedule, the Minister of Transportation stated that “I am in constant communication with the Mayor of Larnaca; I keep him informed, and we are coordinating closely.”

Ms. Tsolaki made this statement in Limassol, on the sidelines of the parade marking the national anniversary of October 28, at which she delivered a greeting on behalf of the government.

The Minister extended her best wishes to all Greeks, adding that “this is a national anniversary that we must celebrate, and we are here today for the parade.” “I wish the very best for Cyprus and our Greece,” she added.

The celebrations in Limassol began in the morning with the ringing of church bells throughout the city, a morning procession through the streets, and the raising of the flag in Grigoris Afxentiou Square.

At 10:00 a.m., the customary thanksgiving service was held at the Cathedral of Ayia Napa, presided over by Bishop Nikolaos of Amathus, followed by the laying of wreaths at the Heroes’ Monument (Heroes’ Square).

The highlight of the celebrations was the parade along Makarios III Avenue, during which the Minister of Transportation received the salute. Participants included associations, male and female students from universities and higher education institutions, male and female students from secondary schools, drivers, Scouts, and units of the Civil Defense and the National Guard.

At 5:00 p.m., the flag will be lowered at Grigoris Afxentiou Square, where the Laniteio Philharmonic will perform, a unit of the National Guard will pay honors, and the National Anthem will be played.
