At least 14 people were killed in Yemen in strikes attributed to Saudi Arabia, a news outlet linked to the Houthis reported today, amid an escalation of hostilities between the two sides.

These attacks, which primarily targeted a gas station and a market in the Al-Jawf province (northwest), on the border with Saudi Arabia, resulted in the injury of 10 people, including women and children, according to the Almasirah television network.

They took place the day after Houthi raids on Saudi Arabia, targeting the largest oil refinery and the Ministry of Defense in Riyadh.

Today, anti-government fighters called for the immediate evacuation of the airport in Aden, a city in southern Yemen where the Riyadh-backed government is headquartered.

“Our armed forces call on all those at Aden Airport to leave the area immediately due to the presence of an enemy military transport aircraft, from Saudi Arabia, which is carrying weapons intended for the murder of the Yemeni people,” wrote the movement’s military spokesman, Yahya Shari, on Platform X.

Prior to this appeal, a missile fired by the Houthis landed near the airport perimeter, a police source told Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The source added that a Saudi military aircraft was in the area at the time of the attack but was not hit and took off shortly afterward.
