A police officer in Argentina was the victim of a cold-blooded murder inside a bank where he had gone to conduct personal business.
The murder of Ángel de Jesús Arieta Ruiz took place on Tuesday afternoon inside a branch of an agricultural bank.

Security camera footage shows a man in a red shirt initially entering the bank and, seconds later, approaching the police officer who was talking to a bank employee.
As seen in the footage, the assailant drew his gun and shot the police officer despite the officer’s attempt to take cover.

Ángel de Jesús Arieta Ruiz, who had served nearly 17 years in the National Police, had been serving at a local police station since April 7, 2026.
According to reports, the officer was on a three-day leave, from November 2 to 4, when he fell victim to the murderous attack.
