Ferencváros remained at the top of the Europa League with a perfect record! On Thursday night (11/5), the Hungarians secured a clean 2-0 victory at San Siro in the fourth matchday of the tournament’s League Phase, stunning Milan, which is Olympiacos’s upcoming opponent in the competition (November 26).
The star of the show for the Hungarians was József, who scored both of his team’s goals in the 52nd and 66th minutes, while the visitors finished the match a man downdue to Dele’s ejection in the 77th minute. The “Rossoneri” are on the brink, sitting outside the top 24 with just 3 points after the first four matchdays!
Bournemouth went 4-for-4, with the “Cherries” celebrating a big 3-1 comeback victory over Sparta Prague. Of course, the British side capitalized on their numerical advantage starting in the 37th minute, even though the home team had opened the scoring two minutes earlier; Adams, Evanilson, and Rayan leading the visitors to a comeback in the second half.
Anderlecht secured its second—and consecutive—victory in the competition, with OFI’s upcoming opponent (11/26) defeating Salzburg 2-0 to reach 6 points.
In the other matches on the schedule, all kicking off at 7:45 p.m., Crystal Palace and Hoffenheim drew 1-1, while Real Sociedad’s match against Lyon also ended in a 1-1 draw.
Finally, Jagiellonia lost on the road to Levski Sofia, while Viktoria Plzeň secured a road win over Lillestrøm.
