With its foot firmly on the gas, OFI continues its run in the Europa League, as the Cretans keep turning heads. Christos Kontis’s team traveled all the way to Bucharest to face Hapoel Be’er Sheva, in the fourth matchday of the competition, and easily secured a 2-0 victory, keeping their wild dreams alive.
Pougoura’s first goal for the “black-and-whites” (45+2′) and Fountas’s incredible strike (56′) were enough for OFI to reach six points, once again breaking through their ceiling, which now seems to be the sky itself. The Cretans put on an outstanding performance, confirming that they can look any opponent in the eye and make a strong case for continuing their European campaign.
