Stefanos Tzimas is in the final stages of his return to competitive action following the serious injury—a torn anterior cruciate ligament—he sustained in December 2025.
The Greek forward has begun participating in training sessions with Brighton’s U-21 team and is expected to join the first-team training schedule within the next week. The “Seagulls’” coach, Fabian Hirtzler, commented on his situation, describing him as a player with an incredible mindset.

“The important thing is for him to make a full recovery and return to his highest level. We don’t want to rush things. We need to give him the time he needs and be patient. Stefanos, however, has an incredible mindset. He has a winner’s mentality, and that’s why we can’t wait to have him back on the team,” while also highlighting Tzima’s on-court value:
“I know he wants to return as soon as possible, and we all know he can become a very important player for us. He proved that even before his injury, even in the few games he played. He didn’t get a lot of playing time, but in that time he showed that he can really help the team. “We hope he’ll be able to contribute to our performances as soon as possible,” added Hirzler.
