Yesterday, police in Paphos arrested two 15-year-old minors as part of an investigation into a case involving the offenses of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and malicious damage.
Specifically, at around 7:40 a.m. yesterday, while a police officer was stationed outside a primary school in Paphos, he noticed two motorcycles parked there without license plates and with visible signs of damage in various places.
Two young individuals arrived at the scene and attempted to leave on the motorcycles in question, but were stopped by the police officer. When questioned about their possession of the motorcycles, they failed to provide adequate and satisfactory explanations regarding the legality of their possession and were arrested for the flagrant offense of unlawful possession of property.
Further investigation revealed that the two arrested individuals are 15 years old, while the two motorcycles had been stolen in the previous days from a company in Paphos.
The two suspects were re-arrested pursuant to arrest warrants for the offenses of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and malicious damage, and were brought before the Paphos District Court today, which issued a four-day detention order against them. The Paphos CID is continuing its investigation.
